Mami&Me Baby Event at NCG: Welcoming Families to the Snakepit / Museum

On 29 and 30 August, the Snakepit Museum at Newlands Cricket Ground became home to the Mami&Me Baby Event, a two-day expo for expecting parents, new mothers and families, produced by Kwaai Events.

A Family-Focused Event Venue in Cape Town

With 25 exhibitors and just over 300 day visitors across the weekend, the event was well attended, warmly received and a strong example of how NCG can support more intimate lifestyle and community event formats.

Unlike a large corporate conference or trade show, Mami&Me needed a setting that felt welcoming and organised while still giving exhibitors, partners, mothers and families enough space to move comfortably through the experience.

A Space That Understood the Brief

The Snakepit Museum delivered exactly that. Its character and intimacy made it a natural fit for an event rooted in community and connection, giving the expo a memorable setting without losing the practical flow required for a busy two-day event.
